Personal Narrative 1

The buzzing sound roared. Shiny, and long tools on the right side. Waiting to open my mouth widely. Lied down on the chair with half excitement, and half nervousness. Imagining the organized teeth with a happy smile. “Are you excited to get braces?” asked a dentist. “Yes,” I said as I thought of all my worries. What if I have a cavity? I thought. What if I don’t get braces for that reason?

Bright sunshine, squeezing the curtain to come in. I opened my eyes widely and rushed toward the kitchen, not even wearing my glasses.

“Mom! What date is it?” I ask.

“Good morning,” said mom calmly.

“Good morning, what date is it?” I ask again.

“September 5th ,” mom answered.

Finally, it’s the day I get braces. I started to get ready to go to the dentist. When I got ready, I started to feel anxious. First the symptoms started in the car with shaking one’s leg. Then biting my fingernails. Biting fingernails situation did not happen that long because I didn’t really like it. I folded my arms instead. I was hearing rushing car sounds the whole time, until I arrived at the dentist.

When I went to the dentist, I waited until my name was called. When finally the dentist called my name, I went into the place where the bending chair was placed. The dentist introduced herself.

“Hi, My name is Maxi. I’m going to attach your braces today.” said the dentist. “You can put on the sunglasses.”

I had to put sunglasses on because of the bright light on the top, so the light can help the dentist to see my teeth better.

“It’s starting!” I thought. “It’s really starting!”
